Your new companyWe are working with a number of inclusive and supportive secondary schools in Taunton who are seeking Teaching Assistants to provide 1:1 and small group support to students with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and social, emotional, and mental health needs.Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in the classroom to access the curriculum
  • Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement tailored learning strategies
  • Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
  • Provide emotional and behavioural support where needed
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience working with children or young people (school-based or alternative settings)
  • A genuine interest in supporting students with SEN
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3) are desirable but not essential
