Part-time Payroll OfficerWellington, SomersetUp to £30,000 pro-rata DOE
We're recruiting on behalf of a West-Somerset based company seeking a part-time Payroll Officer for up to 25 hours to join their small, friendly team on a permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage weekly and monthly payroll from start to finish
- Keep payroll information up to date, including any changes to employee details
- Handle pay calculations, deductions, pensions and required submissions to HMRC
- Answer payroll queries from employees and resolve any issues with timesheets or pay differences
- Prepare and maintain payroll reports and records, keeping all information secure and confidential
- Support the finance team with reconciliations and other related accounting tasks
Requirements:
- At least 3 years' recent experience preparing payroll
- Experience using Sage Payroll advantageous
- Strong Excel skills
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, auto-enrolment and HMRC processes
- A good communicator who can work independently and as part of a team
