Our client is a well-established, independent letting agency based in Somerset with a superb reputation , known for their personal approach and deep local knowledge throughout the area. They pride themselves on delivering exceptional service to landlords and tenants alike, and they’re now looking for a dynamic and experienced Lettings Manager to lead their team and drive continued growth and in return they are offering a salary of up to £40,000 pa.

Role Overview

As Lettings Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the lettings department, managing a team, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation. You’ll play a key role in business development, client relationship management, and maintaining their reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the lettings team to achieve targets and deliver outstanding customer service so you must be a strong people manager.
  • Oversee the full lettings process from valuation to move-in.
  • Conduct market appraisals and win new instructions.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and industry standards.
  • Maintain strong relationships with landlords, tenants, and contractors.
  • Monitor and oversea staff dealing with the managed property portfolio, void periods, and rent arrears.
  • Provide training and support to junior staff.
  • Contribute to marketing strategies and business development initiatives.

Requirements

  • Proven and current experience in residential lettings, in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of lettings legislation and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • ARLA Propertymark qualification (desirable but not essential).
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
