Teaching Assistant

We are working in partnership with a local primary school to appoint a Teaching Assistant who will support children across the school with special educational needs (SEN). This role is ideal for an enthusiastic, flexible, and highly motivated individual who is effective in supporting the class teacher across all areas of the curriculum and promoting inclusion.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Work alongside the class teacher to support children with special educational needs across various areas of the curriculum.
  • Promote inclusion by developing social skills, language, and emotional well-being of students.
  • Liaise with other professionals both within and outside the school to ensure comprehensive support.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of initiative and the ability to react to situations with integrity and compassion.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in working with children with SEND.
  • Experience supporting children with language delay and social communication difficulties.
  • Experience supporting children with behavioural difficulties.
  • Good standard of general education, particularly in numeracy and literacy.
  • Excellent communication skills with both children and adults.
  • Flexible attitude and a can-do approach.
  • Friendly and approachable personality with a good sense of humour.
