Job Title: Business Support Officer

Location: Teddington Memorial Hospital, full time office based, TW11 0JL

Hourly rate £15.75 PAYE / £20.74 UMB Per Hour

Contract Length: 3-month contract (possibility of extension)

Working Pattern: Full Time, Monday - Sunday, 36hours, 8am - 8pm (Rota Basis)

Role purpose:

Richmond Response and Rehabilitation Team (RRRT) and play a vital role in supporting patients on their journey to recovery. RRRT provides short-term, intensive support to individuals following illness, disability, or hospital discharge. Our multidisciplinary team includes nurses, therapists, social workers, and support staff, working together to deliver high-quality care across Richmond.

As an Administrator, you will be the first point of contact for patients and staff in this fast-paced environment. You'll manage high call volumes, process referrals, book appointments, and support the team with a range of administrative tasks.

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate patient records on SystemOne and Mosaic
  • Process referrals and manage waiting lists
  • Coordinate appointments and follow-up calls
  • Conduct monthly patient surveys
  • Manage team inboxes, diaries, and stock levels
  • Provide clerical support including scanning, photocopying, and liaising with Estates.
  • To accurately input referrals onto both electronic patient management systems (i.e. SystemOne and Mosiac) via Assessment and Discharge Notices and progress these to the appropriate waiting list(s) for triage.
  • To complete discharge follow ups identified by triage i.e. telephone hospitals to confirm patients are to be discharged and, where so, ensure package of care has been put in place to support them on discharge.
  • Ensure patient allocations / appointments are arranged and booked accurately and in a timely manner.

Knowledge, skills & experience:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Confident using electronic systems and Microsoft Office
  • A team player with a proactive and flexible approach
