Our client a well-established multi-disciplinary consultancy based in Twickenham are actively looking for a Building Surveyorto join their growing team. They have offices across the country but due to an exciting pipeline of projects they require a Building Surveyor to join them from their South West London office.

Here they will be focusing on project-based works, contract administration and project management duties mainly but not limited to this on projects across a large array of industry sectors working with their long standing, and developing client portfolio of universities, local authorities, hospitals, contractors, developers and retail/commercial clients but not limited to this.

Building Surveyor Position Remuneration
  • Salary: £40k - £65k (Guide only - DOE)

Building Surveyor Position Overview
  • Pre-contract advice on construction, contract or cost aspects of building surveying work including feasibilities.
  • Conduct detailed inspections and assessments of existing buildings, identifying defects, preparing detailed reports and providing expert advice on maintenance, repair, and refurbishment strategies.
  • Lead building surveying projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and client requirements.
  • Preparation of specifications, obtaining tenders and preparing contract documents.
  • Provide advice to clients and junior team members on effective approaches to procurement.
  • Contract administration, valuation and certification including chairing meetings with associated document preparation.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients - offering strategic guidance on properties, dilapidations, party wall matters and other building-related issues.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets and resources effectively.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, including clients, contractors and regulatory authorities.
Building Surveyor Position Requirements
  • MRICS status or working towards
  • Extensive experience in Building Surveying within the construction industry with project based works experience being ideal.
  • Experience in client facing roles ideally with private consultancy background.
  • Valid UK driving licence.
