The Role of the Manufacturing Engineering Manager:

They are seeking a dynamic Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead all engineering activities across various production processes. This pivotal role involves ensuring processes, tooling, automation, and equipment consistently produce high-quality components efficiently and safely. The manager will oversee process optimisation, develop engineering strategies, enhance automation, and drive technical excellence while leading a team.

 

Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Engineering Manager:

  • Lead all engineering activities to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations. 
  • Manage process optimisation, automation enhancements, and process controls across multiple products.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Planning teams to support stable operations and growth. 
  • Lead safety initiatives, risk assessments, and ensure compliance with statutory and internal safety standards. 
  • Support troubleshooting and resolution of complex technical issues related to processes and equipment. 
  • Develop and implement automation strategies to improve process control and reduce operator dependency. 

 

Requirements of the Manufacturing Engineering Manager:

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing engineering leadership role within high-volume production environments. 
  •  Experience leading automation projects or process optimisation initiatives. 
  • Strong troubleshooting skills using structured engineering methods. 
  • Demonstrated ability in process validation, capability studies, and documentation. 
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and automation requirements.
