Repairs and Maintenance

Build Recruitment are proud to be representing a social housing company based in the South-West London area who are looking for a highly skilled Senior Surveyor to join their team.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out detailed property inspections and diagnose defects, to produce detailed reports, prioritising & progressing remedial actions, and keeping customers informed. 
  • Manage insurance claims, escalated cases and on occasion cover legal disrepair cases
  • Carry out pre, post and Work in Progress inspections recording findings on their systems and managing issues through to a satisfactory resolution.
  • Generate contractor orders and coordinate work.
  • Build confident, collaborative working relationships with a range of stakeholders including building contractors, suppliers, consultants, health & safety specialists, and customers
  • Maintain and update accurate records
  • Manage and supervise delivery of high quality work and projects, delivering projects on time and in budget.
  • Report on performance; managing KPIs

Key Knowledge:

  • Social Housing, Building Contractor and local authority industry knowledge
  • IT and Excel Literate
  • A full valid driving license with access to a car during the working week
  • A degree in a surveying-related subject
  • Experience in project management: procuring, implementing, delivering and supervising
