T2M are currently working alongside a leading manufacturing business, who focus on innovative autonomous testing and inspection machines, to help them to recruit an Electro-Mechanical Fitter to work at their headquarters in Telford.

As an Electro-Mechanical Fitter you will work as a part of the production team who are responsible for the assembly of all the businesses precision measurement and testing machines.

Key Duties of an Electro-Mechanical Fitter

  • Assemble all machinery in accordance with engineering drawings and quality standards, from component level to finished product.
  • Carry out minor adjustments to mechanical components using lathes, milling machines and surface grinders.
  • Check that assembled components are within expected geometric tolerances using DTI’s and Gauge blocks.
  • Carry out Electrical & Mechanical fault finding during and post production.
  • Remain compliant with Safety Management system and document and report all maintenance and works.

Skills and experience required for an Electro-Mechanical Fitter

  • Experience working within an electro-mechanical production environment essential.
  • Organised, methodical and accurate, with previous experience working from / following engineering drawings.
  • Competent in electrical panel wiring and reading electrical drawings beneficial.
  • Basic knowledge of Stepper Motors, Control Systems, Sensors and BUS systems would be an advantageous.
  • Meticulous attention to detail – particularly with regards to quality and testing.
  • Focused and reliable with the ability to work both independently or as part of a team.

This is a permanent full time position consisting of a 39-hour working work across Monday – Friday. A salary in the region of £28,000 – 32,000 has been budgeted for this position depending on experience level, with the package also including 33-days holiday a year.
