About the Role:We are looking for a meticulous and motivated Quality Lab Technician to join our client's Quality Assurance team within a dynamic food packaging environment. You will be responsible for ensuring that all packaging materials and processes meet stringent quality and safety standards, supporting the delivery of safe, compliant, and high-quality packaging solutions to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine testing and inspection of packaging materials (e.g., films, containers, labels) for compliance with specifications.
- Conduct physical, chemical, and visual quality checks on incoming materials and finished packaging products.
- Maintain accurate records of test results and report any deviations or non-conformances.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of quality systems such as ISO 9001, BRCGS Packaging, and HACCP.
- Assist in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for quality issues.
- Ensure laboratory equipment is calibrated, maintained, and used in accordance with SOPs.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to uphold product integrity and customer satisfaction.
- Degree or HND in Chemistry, Materials Science, Packaging Technology, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a quality or laboratory role within the packaging or manufacturing industry is preferred.
- Strong understanding of quality control principles and regulatory standards in food packaging.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and Microsoft Office.
