A well-established accountancy practice located in Newport is seeking an Accounts Semi Senior to join its small but growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in accounts preparation who enjoys variety in their role and is looking to develop further in a supportive environment.

Your role as an Accounts Semi Senior:

  • You will work as part of a close-knit team of four, supporting the practice manager and the directors in delivering high-quality service to a varied client base.
  • The role is primarily focused on accounts production with some bookkeeping responsibilities. There is potential for involvement in management accounts in the future.
  • You will prepare statutory accounts for a range of corporate accounts clients.
  • Assisting with bookkeeping duties.
  • Supporting the practice manager with day-to-day client work.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely completion of accounts prep.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • You will be AAT Level 4 qualified or studying towards ACCA (but not essential).
  • Must have previous experience in statutory accounts preparation.
  • Experience with management accounts is beneficial but not required.
  • Comfortable with paper-based records and hands-on manual processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Familiarity with IRIS software is advantageous.
