GI GROUP Telford is currently looking for an Flexographic Printer Assistant Operator to join a well-established packaging manufacturer. Job Title: Flexographic Print Assistant OperatorLocation: TelfordPay Rate: £12.35/hour (Days) | £18.53/hour (Nights)Shifts: Panama shift pattern - 12-hour shifts, rotating days and nights every fortnightThe Role:* Operating and maintaining flexographic printing machines* Setting up jobs, colour matching, and ensuring print quality* Taking ownership of the print process and troubleshooting any issues* Working as part of a close-knit production team*Testing products to ensure they meet client expectations*Packing & Folding raw material *Monitor material levels and feed the machines*Unload the rolls off the machine*Adhering to H&S and 5S procedures *Wrapping ready products *Empty scrap bins *Material checks to ensure the right ingredients are used *Escalate any issues to the team leader *Other reasonable duties required by the team leader/supervisorWhat You'll Need:* Previous experience in a similar role is ideal (printing, manufacturing, machine operation, etc.)* Confidence in running printing presses and other machines * Strong attention to detail and a quality-driven mindset* A team player who's also able to work independently* Willingness to learn and progress within the company*Excellent communication skills*Problem solving skills*Attention to detail: Ensuring that the final output meets the required specifications.
