Forward-thinking Electrically or Mechanically-biased Engineer required for maintenance role at a large and reputable Telford based plant on their day shift. JOB OUTLINE
Provide breakdown cover on automated fast moving equipment as well as the service and repair of production equipment in line with FMCG policies and safe working procedures.
THE ROLE:
- Continuous improvement of equipment
- Day-to-day attention to Electrical/Mechanical breakdowns and changeovers.
- An active position in generating ideas for improvement.
- Finding the root cause of any production problems and finding ways to prevent the problems happening again.
- Electrical fault-finding
- Safe installation of machinery and control panels
- Total hours and work pattern: Days Monday- Friday
THE CANDIDATE:
- Experience within a manufacturing or production industry essential
- Experience with conveyors essential
- A team player with plenty of ideas and enthusiasm and able to work under pressure.
- Open-mindedness to learn new techniques & technology
- Electrical or Mechanical ability essential
- PLC knowledge desirable but not essential
- Formal qualifications to NVQ, C&G or ONC
- Time served Electrical apprenticeship advantageous
