THE OPPORTUNITY
A well-respected UK based systems integrator are looking for a permanent employee to handle the detailed electrical design of controls and drives systems.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Electrical site surveys.
- Calculations to support sizing and selection (Power, Short Circuit, Voltage Drop, Heat Dissipation, etc).
- Equipment / component selection in line with client specification and internal preference.
- Single line diagrams for power, control and networking / communications.
- Control / Drive Panel general arrangements.
- Electrical schematics and cable schedules.
- Procurement of general components and materials.
- Manufacturing handover, documentation and support.
- As-built documentation from Testing and Commissioning.
- Complying with all appropriate industry regulations, client specifications, and internal standards.
- Meeting project milestones.
- Contribution to the continuous improvement of the Hardware Design department.
- Maintenance of the Technical Construction File.
- Other duties as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Apprenticeship / Degree in Electrical Engineering / Mechatronics
- Minimum 18 months in a similar role
- Experience using EPLAN or AutoCAD Electrical
- Good understanding of control system electrical design
