THE OPPORTUNITY
A well-respected UK based systems integrator are looking for a permanent employee to handle the detailed electrical design of controls and drives systems.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Electrical site surveys.
  • Calculations to support sizing and selection (Power, Short Circuit, Voltage Drop, Heat Dissipation, etc).
  • Equipment / component selection in line with client specification and internal preference.
  • Single line diagrams for power, control and networking / communications.
  • Control / Drive Panel general arrangements.
  • Electrical schematics and cable schedules.
  • Procurement of general components and materials.
  • Manufacturing handover, documentation and support.
  • As-built documentation from Testing and Commissioning.
  • Complying with all appropriate industry regulations, client specifications, and internal standards.
  • Meeting project milestones.
  • Contribution to the continuous improvement of the Hardware Design department.
  • Maintenance of the Technical Construction File.
  • Other duties as required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • Apprenticeship / Degree in Electrical Engineering / Mechatronics
  • Minimum 18 months in a similar role
  • Experience using EPLAN or AutoCAD Electrical
  • Good understanding of control system electrical design
