Overview:A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established industrial operation based in Telford. This is a key role in maintaining and improving equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and supporting the smooth running of all site operations.
Key Responsibilities:-
Assist with the configuration, installation, and commissioning of new equipment.

Conduct planned and reactive maintenance to minimise equipment downtime.

Carry out general maintenance on building services when required.

Record and track maintenance activity using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).

Promote and adhere to safe working practices, reporting any unsafe conditions or behaviours.

Comply with all relevant quality, health & safety, and environmental standards and procedures.

Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by management.

City and Guilds or equivalent in electro/mechanical engineering.

Minimum 3 years' experience in a multi-skilled maintenance role (approx. 70% electrical, 30% mechanical).

Strong fault-finding skills across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and automated systems.

Familiarity with logistics equipment (e.g. conveyors, packaging lines, AC motors, inverters).

Experience with PLC-controlled systems (SIEMENS S7 experience desirable).

Knowledge of electrical systems including 3-phase and single-phase installations.

Comfortable working at height using MEWPs (IPAF 3A/3B certification desirable or willingness to train).

Experience with machining tools (e.g. lathes, drills, saws) and welding (TIG, MIG, or Arc).

Skilled in using a wide range of portable power tools.

Willingness to work rotating shifts, be available for call-outs, and complete training as required.

Medically fit to perform all duties associated with the role.
