About RWM UK

Rheinmetall Weapons and Ammunition UK (RWM UK) is part of the

defence engineering company Rheinmetall AG based in Germany. We

design, manufacture and support military large-calibre weapon systems

used by the British Army and international customers.

RWM UK is now starting a new production site in Telford and we are

recruiting for Operational Technology Specialist . In collaboration with

production engineers the new machinery and post-processors will be tested &

accepted as well as all related CNC-programs adjusted to the new machinery.

The candidate will also support the central IT department on resolving local

IT issues.

Position Responsibilities:

Maintenance and troubleshooting of production-related IT systems as well as monitoring and optimisation of network connectivity in production lines Management of user access, permissions and system configurations Coordination of vendors and internal teams for system upgrades and patches Support and maintenance of hardware such as industrial PCs, HMIs, barcode scanners, and IoT devices Introduction of new automation technologies and digital tools, as well as ensuring compliance with cybersecurity regulations for shop floor systems Integration of engineering tools with production systems for data exchange and reporting, as well as technical support for CAD/CAM, simulation, and data analysis tools used by process engineers

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE

Essential:

Several years of professional experience in IT support in

manufacturing or in an industrial environment

Experience with process engineering tools (e.g. Siemens NX, Team

Center, TopSolid) as well as with MES, PLC, TDM (e.g. Exapt) and

industrial networks

Basic programming skills for PLC
