Salary: £27,000 – £33,000
Monday to Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:15 PM
Friday Finish: 8:00 AM – 12:30 PM – enjoy your early start to the weekend!
Contract: 37.5 hours per week
Are you a skilled Panel Wirer looking to work on cutting-edge precision equipment? Join a respected manufacturer serving the metal and plastics industries, including food and beverage packaging. You’ll be part of a collaborative team assembling high-spec inspection machines from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities of the Panel Wirer:- Wire electrical panels and read electronic schematics
- Assemble precision measurement machines, jigs, and fixtures
- Work from component level to complete product alongside skilled engineers
- Fault-find electrical and mechanical systems
- Interpret pneumatic schematics and assemble pneumatic systems
- Perform mechanical adjustments using lathes, milling machines, and grinders
- Inspect builds using DTIs and Gauge Blocks to ensure geometric tolerances
- Work with stepper motors, sensors, control systems, and BUS systems
- Level 3 Engineering qualification or time-served experience (HNC desirable)
- Electrical panel wiring expertise
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Detail-oriented and committed to continuous improvement
- Able to work independently and as part of a close-knit team
