We're actively recruiting for an experienced Import Clerk / Import Administrator to join our clients busy team based in Telford on a permanent basis.
Our client is a well established importer and distributor, supplying quality products throughout the UK.
Responsibilities include:
- Setting up and maintaining the database of import suppliers and products
- Raising & sending purchase orders to suppliers
- Checking and processing Proforms invoices for payment
- Liaising with freight forwarders to ensure orders are shipped on time
- Checking and processing invoices/credits from freight forwarders
- Updating of Container Status Report, ensuring colleagues are informed
- Checking container QC check reports
- Assist with compliance related issues, i.e. Fire Safety, UK FLEGT Regulations, CE and Waste regulations
Skills & experience required:
- A minimum of 3 years experience working within an import/export environment
- Excellent communication ability & attention to detail
- A calm and confident outlook
Working hours (39 per week):
- Monday to Thursday 08:30-17:00
- Friday 08:30-16:00
