Rate:           £17.50 - £19 UMB (£25,250 - £30,250 FTE salary)

Duration:     Temporary to Perm

Hours:         35 Hours (Condensed across 4 days (Monday and Thurs 9am - 5pm Tuesday and Wednesday 9am - 8pm)

 

Our client, a National Charity specialising in working with Vulernable Adults, is looking to recruit 2 Programme Facilitators to deliver their RESPECT accredited Domestic Abuse Perpetrator Progamme in Shropshire.

This is a temporary to permanent opportunity which offer excellent training and development opportunities.

What will you be doing?

You will be responsible for carrying out initial assessments and ensuring the clients meet the programme’s criteria. This is a voluntary programme and you will be working to engage clients and support them to remove any barriers to the programme.

You will be co-faciliating their 24 week programme which aims to create a safe space for people who have abused their partners/ have been abusive within a relationship. The programme focuses on behaviour, how and why we act, identifying thoughts and feelings and working on how to act differently and make lasting bhavioural changes.

 

Although primarily group based you will also hold a caseload of clients and provide support around their practical needs (such as housing, benefits, accessing additional services etc) in order to create a stable foundation for the client.

 

What are they looking for?

 

· Knowledge of domestic abuse (through experience working with victims/ perpetrators, through studies etc)

· Experience of working with vulnerable/ hard to reach clients (this can include perpetrators, ex-offenders, substance misuse, children with SEN/ EBD, Child Exploitation, Mental Health, Victims of Abuse)

· Have an understanding that working with perpetrators, to support them to understand and change their behaviour will protect current and future victims and children.

· Experience of facilitating groups/ workships would be highly desirable

· They would also be interested in hearing from Graduates from a linked field (including Criminology, Psychology, Counselling, Social Work etc)

· Enhanced DBS on the update service or dated within the last 12 months.

· Must have a UK Driving Licence and have access to a vehicle for work purposes.
