Your new companyYou will be joining a design and build contractor based in Shropshire operating in the water industry. This established company has a strong pipeline of work with multiple high-profile water authorities and Tier 1 contractors across the UK and offers excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development. Due to continued success, they are looking to onboard a Pump Engineer to join their team.

This is a full-time permanent position based initially on sites in the Shropshire area.

Your new roleAs Pump Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Servicing and maintaining pumps to a high standard across a regional basis
  • Undertaking major repairs and refurbishments
  • Diagnosing faults and performing repairs on a variety of pumps and equipment within the fleet, both on and off-site
  • Testing and commissioning pumps
  • Adhering to safe working practices and reporting all incidents or accidents.

What you'll need to succeedIn order to be successful, you must have:

  • Experience in mechanical or electrical aspects of pumps within the water (clean or waste) industry
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and fitting abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills
  • Full UK driving licence.
