Kingscroft has been asked to recruit for a SHEQ Manager by a specialist manufacturing business. As the ideal candidate you will have experience of Quality, Health Safety and Environmental systems management in a Production / Manufacturing operation. You will be experienced in dealing with production non-conformance and leading investigations to deliver corrective actions and process improvement to drive quality improvement and waste reduction. You will lead a team internally across H&S and Quality and work closely with customers to achieve the company objectives.


As the SHEQ Manager your role and responsibilities will involve:

 

  • Responsible for driving improvements in product quality and service levels to deliver excellent standards of customer care, with regular feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Responsible for effective and timely response to any customer concerns raised.
  • Provide visible leadership in SHEQ standards, behaviours and systems of work.
  • Responsible for effective SHEQ policies and systems for improved performance.
  • Ensure a safe working environment with the goal of zero harm to employees.
  • Promote a positive SHEQ culture with engagement, training and regular audits.
  • Manage effective hazard, near miss, accident environmental incident reporting system.
  • Lead the HSE Committee with regular review and driving improved standards.
  • Develop risk COSHH assessments, SOPs, incident alerts and care points.
  • Responsibility for leading all continuous improvement, PDCA practical problem solving and lean manufacturing activities to achieve operational excellence.
  • Responsible for measurement and testing of products for quality verification, together with adopting technology such as CMM systems for improving accuracy repeatability.
  • Lead introduction of best practice quality improvements using problem solving and CI techniques.
  • Excellent standards of SHEQ CI application, communication, personal discipline, time management, problem solving, continuous improvement and employee engagement.
  • Maintain SHEQ KPIs to monitor improvements, promote new ideas, CI learning.
  • Support and ensure full compliance with internal and external SHEQ audits.
  • Ensure full compliance with UK SHEQ Regulations and company standards.
  • Ensure full compliance with ISO45001, 14001 and 50001 standards.
  • Responsible for driving improved SHEQ CI standards with suppliers.
  • Responsible for effective and timely response to any customer concerns raised.
  • Responsible for all quality documentation, process capability studies, process auditing and maintaining equipment calibrations.


This is a fantastic opportunity to deliver QHSE Management across 2 locally based operational centres. The role is Quality and production performance biased and is starting from a good point from both Quality and H&S perspectives. In this role you will lead an established team and work closely with the Ops Director to continue the drive towards best practice.
