ABC Teachers are seeking to recruit a Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to support a Year 5/6 class in a welcoming primary school in Telford. This role will cover the entire second half of the Autumn Term 2025, providing consistent classroom support and contributing to a positive learning environment.

The Role

This role will include:

Full-time, long-term cover in line with school hours (08:30–15:30).
Supporting the class teacher to ensure lessons run smoothly and pupils remain engaged and supported.
Providing individual or small group support as directed by the teacher.
Commencing at the start of the second half of the Autumn Term 2025 and continuing until the end of term.

Requirements

To be considered for the KS2 Teaching Assistant (Year 5/6) position, you will:

Demonstrate an enthusiastic and collaborative approach to supporting pupils and colleagues.
Have verifiable experience working in a childcare or educational setting, ideally within Key Stage 2.
Hold a minimum of a Level 2 or Level 3 childcare-related qualification.
Be able to commit to school hours (08:30–15:30).
Be able to provide references from relevant roles within the last two years.
Hold or be willing to obtain a DBS registered on the online update service.
