Are you a skilled Maintenance professional looking to step into a leadership role within a world-class automotive manufacturing environment? If you’re passionate about engineering excellence and team development, this could be the perfect move for you.

Join a Tier 1 global automotive supplier at their advanced Telford facility, specialising in high-pressure aluminium die-casting. As Maintenance Team Leader, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring plant reliability, safety, and continuous improvement within a technically advanced production unit.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Leading and coordinating the shift maintenance team in the upstream casting area.
  • Driving Health, Safety & Environmental compliance across the department.
  • Managing PM schedules, breakdowns, corrective tasks, and continuous improvement actions.
  • Performing fault-finding and problem-solving on complex mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Supporting and developing your team through coaching, training, and annual appraisals.
  • Liaising with production teams to ensure plant availability and performance targets are met.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Time-served apprenticeship in mechanical and/or electrical engineering
  • Proven experience in maintenance roles, ideally within manufacturing
  • Strong leadership, communication, and planning skills
  • Confident working with schematics (electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic)
  • Computer literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Desirable Experience:

  • Dual-skilled in mechanical and electrical disciplines
  • HNC/HND qualification
  • Knowledge of die casting, injection moulding, hydraulic presses, or robotics (ABB IRC5)
  • Experience with Siemens TIA Portal
  • Background in Tier 1 Automotive or heavy industrial manufacturing
  • Health & Safety accreditation
