Assistant Town Planner / Town Planner - Telford

Penguin Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a well-established planning consultancy based in Telford with their search for an Assistant Town Planner / Town Planner.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious planning professional to join a dynamic team, working on a variety of residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects. The role offers exposure to all aspects of the planning process, from pre-application advice through to planning applications and negotiations with local authorities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing and submitting planning applications.

• Conducting site appraisals and feasibility studies.

• Liaising with clients, architects, and local planning authorities.

• Providing professional planning advice and recommendations.

• Supporting senior planners in managing projects from inception to completion.

Requirements:

• Degree in Town Planning or related discipline.

• Relevant experience in local authority or consultancy planning roles.

• Strong knowledge of UK planning policy and procedures.

• Excellent communication, organisational, and report-writing skills.

• Full driving licence desirable but not essential.
