Factory Operations Manager

Join our team as a Factory Operations Manager, overseeing production operations to maintain the highest standards of quality and food safety, improve efficiencies, and consistently achieve targeted levels of performance. This role requires outstanding leadership, continuously challenging and innovating to improve performance in all production areas.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Achieve 100% Service Level by fully achieving the daily production plan.
- Take full responsibility for the achievement of the production plan and ensure clear and timely communication of any service issues.
- Maintain high Health and Safety standards ensuring compliance with policies and procedures for both employees and contractors.
- Take full responsibility for the quality of the product produced on site through management of and compliance with quality systems.
- Drive a culture of quality and food safety within the factory.
- Manage people-related activities including absence management, appraisals, discipline, and grievances.
- Take full responsibility for factory productivity and performance through measurement, monitoring, and analysis of factory information.
- Ensure all factory data is consistently completed and all required reports issued on time to the business.
- Manage and actively reduce wastage and ensure the effective and efficient use of all equipment & machinery.
- Identify and implement cost savings and oversee the successful launch of all new business.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven track record as a Manufacturing Manager, Factory Manager, or Operations Manager within an FMCG Manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience at a managerial level, ideally with some high-risk and bakery experience.
- Commercial awareness and excellent IT skills.
- IOSH Safety Certificate and Advanced Food Hygiene and HACCP Certificate.
- Experience of managing and leading large teams.
- Knowledge of industry-related Health and Safety requirements.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels and intricate attention to detail.
