An established and forward-thinking engineering firm specialising in high-precision manufacturing is seeking a talented Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in mechanical design and contribute to the development of innovative industrial solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and development of mechanical components and systems using 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor)
- Support prototype build, testing, and validation activities
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including electrical, software, and production engineers
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to product improvement initiatives
- Produce detailed technical drawings and documentation for manufacturing and assembly
- Engage in R&D projects and support the introduction of new technologies and processes
Candidate Profile
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline (BEng/MEng)
- Strong proficiency in 3D CAD design tools
- Solid understanding of mechanical principles, materials, and manufacturing techniques
- Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow within a fast-paced engineering environment
