I'm recruiting on behalf of a well-established materials handling business that is looking for an experienced engineer to join their team. Whether you currently work as a Field Service Engineer, Forklift Service Engineer, Forklift Technician, Mobile Forklift Engineer, Plant Fitter, Mobile Plant Engineer, Mechanical Service Engineer, or Materials Handling Engineer, this role could be a perfect fit.

What's On Offer
- Up to 35,000 depending on experience
- Door-to-Door travel pay
- Optional overtime
- Fully equipped company van, fuel card, laptop, mobile & expenses
- 08:00 - 16:30 working hours
- Ongoing technical training and development
The Role
You'll be responsible for ensuring customers' forklift trucks and materials handling equipment stay in peak condition.
Day-to-day, you'll:
- Complete servicing and preventative maintenance
- Attend breakdowns and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
- Carry out effective and efficient repairs on-site
- Communicate clearly with customers on findings, repairs and next steps
- Build strong, trusted relationships with clients
- Complete all required documentation accurately
- Work safely at all times
What I'm Looking For
- Strong mechanical engineering background with solid fault-finding skills
- Experience in FLT, plant, agricultural, or heavy equipment maintenance
- Hydraulics and electrical knowledge (training provided if needed)
- Full UK driving licence
- Confident, professional communication
- Ability to manage your workload independently
- A proactive, customer-focused attitude
