Field Service Engineer / Forklift Engineer / Mobile Plant Engineer / Forklift Technician - Up To 35,000 + Door-to-Door Pay + Overtime

I'm recruiting on behalf of a well-established materials handling business that is looking for an experienced engineer to join their team. Whether you currently work as a Field Service Engineer, Forklift Service Engineer, Forklift Technician, Mobile Forklift Engineer, Plant Fitter, Mobile Plant Engineer, Mechanical Service Engineer, or Materials Handling Engineer, this role could be a perfect fit.

What's On Offer

  • Up to 35,000 depending on experience
  • Door-to-Door travel pay
  • Optional overtime
  • Fully equipped company van, fuel card, laptop, mobile & expenses
  • 08:00 - 16:30 working hours
  • Ongoing technical training and development

The Role

You'll be responsible for ensuring customers' forklift trucks and materials handling equipment stay in peak condition.

Day-to-day, you'll:

  • Complete servicing and preventative maintenance
  • Attend breakdowns and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
  • Carry out effective and efficient repairs on-site
  • Communicate clearly with customers on findings, repairs and next steps
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with clients
  • Complete all required documentation accurately
  • Work safely at all times

What I'm Looking For

  • Strong mechanical engineering background with solid fault-finding skills
  • Experience in FLT, plant, agricultural, or heavy equipment maintenance
  • Hydraulics and electrical knowledge (training provided if needed)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Confident, professional communication
  • Ability to manage your workload independently
  • A proactive, customer-focused attitude
