Our client, a leading organisation in the industry, is seeking a passionate and results-driven Europe Customs Methods & Projects Specialist to join their dynamic team. Mission:
As the Europe Customs Methods & Projects Specialist, you will serve as a vital liaison between authorities, stakeholders, and local customs operations. Your mission will be to enhance operational excellence, compliance, and efficiency, ultimately boosting overall performance in customs operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations:

  • Establish and optimise customs procedures to minimise delivery lead times while ensuring compliance.
  • Review practises and provide guidance according to the organisation's customs strategy.
  • Conduct internal investigations and customs audits to ensure adherence to regulations.
  • Identify potential risks and manage environmental regulations such as CBAM, Plastic Tax, and Deforestation.
  • organise and conduct customs training to enhance team capabilities.

Projects:

  • Manage and support customs projects in alignment with regulations and best practises.
  • Contribute to the flow change and footprint optimisation process by identifying customs opportunities (e.g., Free Trade Agreements, bonded warehouses).
  • Maintain up-to-date regulatory knowledge and implement necessary changes.

What We're Looking For:

  • A minimum of 4-5 years of hands-on experience in customs management.
  • Strong leadership skills with a customer-centric approach.
  • A structured, process-oriented mindset driven by results.
  • Proficiency in English; French is a plus!
  • Knowledge of international trade, customs regulations, and Incoterms.
  • Project management skills and the ability to design effective workflows.

Key Interfaces:

  • Collaborate with various departments including C&TC, Export Control, Finance, Procurement, and Sustainability.
  • Build strong relationships with customs authorities and local administrations.
  • Work closely with brokers and entities involved in export and import operations.
