Property Claims Handler – Home Based (with occasional Nottingham office visits)Domestic and Commercial Property ClaimsAre you an experienced property claims handler looking for more flexibility, autonomy, and the chance to be part of a close-knit, expert-led team? This home-based role offers the perfect balance, allowing you to work remotely full-time with just one or two visits per month to our Nottingham office for collaboration, training, or team catch-ups.We're looking for a skilled claims handler with a strong background in managing domestic and/or commercial property claims. You should be confident handling claims from first notification through to settlement, understand the importance of fair outcomes, and communicate with empathy and professionalism throughout the process.This is a hands-on technical role involving coverage assessment, claim validation, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring each claim is managed with accuracy and care. You’ll be part of a team that values quality over volume, and takes pride in delivering excellent service and sound decision-making.You’ll manage your own caseload, which will include home, landlord, and small commercial property claims. On a daily basis, you’ll liaise with policyholders, insurers, loss adjusters, contractors, and other third parties to progress claims efficiently. Your decisions will be based on policy wording, supporting evidence, and regulatory guidelines, and you’ll be confident explaining those decisions to all parties involved.We’re particularly interested in people who are organised, technically strong, and comfortable dealing with the complexities of property damage claims. A solid understanding of policy coverage, FCA regulations, fraud indicators, and repair processes will be key.What’s in it for you?   • Familiarity with regulated claims environments and FCA requirements
  • The ability to manage your own caseload effectively and meet service standards
  • Experience working with surveyors, loss adjusters, and contractors
  • An understanding of fraud indicators and escalation processes
