About the Company

A well-established, engineering-led manufacturer specialising in bespoke mechanical handling and control systems. Projects run from concept through to manufacture, installation and commissioning across highly complex applications.

The Role

Due to increased project activity, an experienced Engineering Project Manager is required on a temporary basis to support the delivery of contracts and small works from post-tender stage through to completion.

You will take responsibility for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to specification, while maintaining strong client relationships. This role provides additional capacity during a busy period and requires someone who can integrate quickly and support the wider team.

Experience delivering machinery, capital equipment, offshore or complex engineering projects is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full day-to-day responsibility for assigned projects post-tender
  • Manage scope, schedules, risks, issues and change control
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to specification
  • Maintain full financial control, including forecasting, reporting and margin protection
  • Compile monthly project financial evaluations, forecasts and lessons learned
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers
  • Produce clear, accurate project reports and updates
  • Lead internal and external meetings and workshops
  • Work closely with engineering, procurement, production and delivery teams
  • Oversee the purchase of materials, goods and services
  • Liaise with suppliers and expedite to meet project milestones
  • Support procurement and supply chain activity as required
  • Assist estimators and the sales team at tender stage with planning and cost input

About You

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Project Management role within engineering
  • Proven background delivering machinery, capital equipment, offshore or complex engineering projects
  • Strong experience managing cost, schedule, risk and resources
  • High level of commercial awareness with proven budget control
  • Confident and adaptable communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
