Gap Personnel is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Assistant to join our client’s busy food-manufacturing operation in Hortonwood. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with good attention to detail, a hands-on approach, and an interest in food safety and quality.

Role Overview as a Quality Assurance Assistant

Working as part of the QA team, you will support daily quality checks both on-site and off-site. You will be required to attend a location off site to sample ingredients and return them safely to the Telford site for testing.

Hours of work: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 1:30pm (5 hours no break) Pay: £13.80 per hour Key Duties as a Quality Assurance Assistant Include:

Off-Site (Stafford Park):

  • Sampling ingredients off site (paid transport).

  • Returning samples to Telford for intake testing.

On-Site (Telford):

  • Checking moth traps, including using a mobile platform at height (operated by a warehouse colleague).

  • Completing intake checks on delivered materials.

  • Supporting general QA duties as required-tasks may evolve based on workload. 

Requirements as a Quality Assurance Assistant:
  • Comfortable working at height (use of steps and mobile platforms with guard rails).

  • Able to carry out some lifting within legal manual handling limits (moving boxes of ingredients for sampling).

  • Reliable, organised, and able to follow strict food safety procedures.

  • Good communicator with strong attention to detail.
