Dunbar Education is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Telford, seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team after the May half term.

The Role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and patient individual to work on a 1:1 basis with a Key Stage 1 pupil who has Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and a diagnosis of Autism. This is a full-time role, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a child's educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day

  • Support the child's learning and social development

  • Implement and adapt strategies in line with the pupil's EHCP

  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO

  • Create a nurturing and safe environment for the child to thrive

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • Experience working with children with SEN, particularly SLD and Autism

  • A calm, caring and adaptable approach

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • A commitment to inclusive education

  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEN (desirable but not essential)
