The Role:
This is a full-time, permanent teaching position to start in January 2025. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and inclusive lessons to a Year 1 class with a high Special Educational Needs (SEN) requirement. You will be part of a friendly, supportive team, working closely with teaching assistants and specialists to ensure that each child is supported in their learning journey.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that cater to a range of abilities and learning styles.
Provide tailored support for children with special educational needs, ensuring that their individual learning needs are met.
Assess and track the progress of students, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their potential.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting the social, emotional, and academic development of every child.
Collaborate with the wider school team to plan and implement interventions and support strategies.
Engage with parents/carers to keep them informed of their child's progress and well-being.
What We're Looking For:
Qualified teacher status (QTS) with experience working in primary education.
Strong knowledge and understanding of SEN, with the ability to differentiate teaching to meet the needs of diverse learners.
A passion for working with young children and a commitment to helping all students succeed.
Excellent communication skills, both with children and colleagues.
Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively within a supportive team environment.
