Your new companyHays are working with a large manufacturing business based in Telford who are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics & Operations Planner to join their team. This role is responsible for managing customer accounts and ensuring the smooth coordination of purchasing, supplier scheduling, shipping, storage, and delivery. You will work closely with customers, suppliers, sales, and engineering teams to deliver a seamless and efficient supply chain service.Your new roleAs a Logistics and Operations Planner, your role will involve:

  • Manage customer accounts, focusing on purchasing, shipping, storage, and distribution of stock in line with agreed schedules.
  • Implement stock management strategies to maintain optimal inventory levels and avoid overstocking or stockouts.
  • Analyze inventory data to support sales in reducing slow-moving stock and increasing product call-offs.
  • Support the sales team by ensuring timely progression of samples and production orders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to manage changing workloads effectively and efficiently.
  • Communicate professionally with suppliers to build a strong and reliable supply chain.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and respectful work environment.
