Job Summary
We are recruiting an experienced MIG Welder for a client based in Halesfield. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of welding techniques and the ability to fabricate and assemble metal components with precision. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in all welding tasks.

Duties

  • Perform MIG welding on various materials, ensuring strong and clean welds.
  • Fabricate metal components according to specifications and technical drawings.
  • Assemble parts and structures using hand tools and power tools.
  • Conduct inspections of completed welds to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Utilise basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication processes.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in MIG welding; additional experience in stick welding is advantageous.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge, particularly in working with sheet metal.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools effectively.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Monday - Friday, early finishes on Fridays.
