Maintenance Supervisor

Location: Templecombe
Salary: 55,000 - 60,000 DOE
Shifts: Double Days (6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm)

Our client, a respected leader in their industry, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on professional with strong electrical qualifications and proven leadership skills to take the next step in their career.



The Role:

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and technicians to ensure all plant and equipment operate efficiently and safely. You'll take ownership of preventative maintenance schedules, manage breakdown response, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and motivate a team of multi-skilled maintenance engineers.

  • Plan, prioritise, and allocate maintenance tasks to ensure minimal downtime.

  • Conduct regular inspections and ensure compliance with health & safety regulations.

  • Oversee electrical and mechanical maintenance, fault finding, and repair activities.

  • Manage and develop team performance through coaching and support.

  • Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to drive reliability and efficiency.



About You:

  • Recognised engineeering qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).

  • Proven experience in a maintenance supervisory or team leader role.

  • Strong technical understanding of both electrical and mechanical systems.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.

  • Experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment is highly desirable.\
