About the Role
Simply Education is looking for flexible and reliable Secondary Cover Teachers to work in schools in Tenterden, just outside Ashford. This role is perfect for qualified teachers who enjoy the variety of teaching across different subjects and year groups without the added responsibility of planning and marking.
As a Cover Teacher, you'll deliver pre-prepared lessons, maintain positive behaviour in the classroom, and ensure a smooth learning experience for students in the absence of their usual teacher.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver pre-set lessons across a range of subjects and year groups.
- Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a productive learning environment.
- Engage and motivate students to stay on task.
- Report any feedback or concerns to the relevant staff.
- Adapt quickly to new classroom settings and school environments.
What We're Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching or covering in secondary education.
- A confident, adaptable, and professional approach to teaching.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- A driving licence and access to transport are highly desirable, as public transport links in Tenterden are limited.
- All candidates must complete full vetting and safeguarding checks before placement.
