Job Title: Quality Engineer

Location: Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire

Salary: £32,000 per annum (DOE)

Job Type: Full time/ Permanent

Hours: Mon - Thurs: 8am - 5pm, Fri: 8am - 1pm

The Company is a growing precision engineering company based in Tewkesbury, specialising in orthopaedic medical instrumentation, aerospace, and defence components. We're a small, passionate team with big ambitions-and we're looking for a Quality Engineer who shares our drive for excellence.

Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Quality Engineer, you'll play a vital role in maintaining and improving our high-quality standards across the manufacturing process. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Dimensional inspection using Vernier callipers, micrometres, gauges, and CMM
  • First-off and aesthetic inspection of parts
  • Producing First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR)
  • Identifying and reporting recurring quality issues
  • Managing calibration and inspection records
  • Conducting shopfloor audits and supporting root cause analysis (NCRs)
  • Creating SOPs and delivering quality training
  • Supporting goods receiving, packing, and despatch

About you:

Essential:

  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Knowledge of ISO9001
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Team player with strong communication and problem-solving skills

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with ISO13485 and medical instruments
