CNC Operative

  • Tewkesbury based.

I am recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing engineering company based in Tewkesbury. You will be working on 3 axis machines setting and operating within a great team. This CNC role is ideal for someone who wants to work in a hands-on position without excessive technical complexity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate CNC machines for both new production and tool regrinding

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings to guide production

  • Program CNC machines offline to optimise productivity

  • Monitor machine performance and adjust settings as necessary

  • Perform routine maintenance checks and complete quality control documentation

  • Collaborate with the wider team to resolve production issues

  • Use handheld and digital measuring tools for accurate quality checks

  • Manual grinding experience is advantageous, but training will be provided

Skills and Attributes:
  • Proven experience operating and programming CNC machines

  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and tight tolerances

  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving

  • Basic computer literacy and good mathematical skills

  • A team player willing to work flexible hours and overtime when required
