Social Worker - Children & Families Team | Tewkesbury

Make a real difference for children and families in Tewkesbury.
We're seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our Children & Families Team. You'll manage a varied caseload of around 18 children, including CIN, CP, and CIC cases, and deliver effective, evidence-based interventions that truly impact lives.
Key Details:
- Location: Tewkesbury Social Care Locality Office, GL20 5TT
- Contract: 6-month assignment (Dec 2025 - May 2026)
- Rate: 42 per hour
- Start Date: 1 December 2025
- Working Pattern: Office-based 3 days per week, flexible/home working considered
What You'll Do:
- Hold a mixed caseload including court work
- Ensure timely, high-quality interventions for children and families
- Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners
- Maintain face-to-face contact with children (except in confirmed COVID cases)
About You:
- Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
- Strong experience in child protection, care planning, and court work
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work flexibly and manage competing priorities
