Stock Controller - Tewkesbury - £26,478 p.a. + benefits. Reporting directly to the Stock Control Supervisor, this role is responsible for ensuring high levels of inventory accuracy through PI, Quality of stock management and investigating stock variances to understand and resolve root cause issues. 40hrs per week.Rotating Shifts - 6-2, 2-10. Flexibility will be required to cover holidays.

We are currently looking for an experienced Stock Controller to join our team in Tewkesbury. The stock controller is responsible for ensuring high levels of inventory accuracy through PI, Quality of stock management and investigating stock variances to understand and resolve root cause issues.

Daily responsibilities include:

  • •Ensure a safe and legally compliant warehouse operation•Ensuring the depots PI (Perpetual Inventory) cycle is completed within the agreed SLA, investigating and reporting any discrepancies.•Investigating key systems reports to ensure reallocations, minuses (stock not found), negative stock reports and sin bin items are investigated and resolved.•Organise and administer clearance/unwanted stock; you will be the point of contact for every clearance store, co-ordinating activity across the warehouse and returns teams on site.•Ensuring that any F3’s/Nil Picks/TOR trends are investigated and resolved.•Responsible for maintaining the warehouse location map to ensure it is physically and systematically aligned and that all locations are labelled accordingly.•Maintaining open and honest communications and attending regular weekly meetings.•Deputising in the absence of the Stock Control Supervisor
Skills needed
  • Previous Stock Control experience, ideally gained within a warehousing operation
  • High levels of numeracy and attention to detail
  • PC literate and confident with Microsoft applications
  • An organised and methodical approach to problem solving
  • Can demonstrate inventory management skills and the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives
  • Effective communication style and ability to influence at senior levels
  • Able to gain insight from data; identifying patterns and trends that need investigation within the physical operation
