GMP Recruitment are proud to be in partnership with an engineering company who are experts in precision engineering, located in Tewkesbury.  We are currently recruiting on their behalf for a Quality Inspector to join their team on a full time, permanent, basis.

This position would be ideal for anyone with previous product inspection experience within an engineering setting, or an individual with machining/shop floor measurement experience, looking to move into inspection.

This position is working Monday – Thursday 08:00am – 17:00pm with a Friday finish of 13:00pm offering a salary of £30-37K, which is pending relevant experience.

Quality Inspector main duties:

  • Inspect and approve products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests.
  • Rework goods where necessary and meet required completion deadlines.
  • Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs
  • Reports issues to suppliers and records their performance.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following required standards and procedures.

 Quality Inspection main duties:

  • Experience as quality inspector or relevant matching or measuring role preferred.
  • Able to interpret machined part engineering drawings, processes and procedures.
  • Finishing work or general production experience would be beneficial
  • Good knowledge in computer skills and use of basic tools like Excel, Word
  • Good communication skills and attention to detail.
