A specialist sub-contract company is seeking to hire a Quantity Surveyor due to continued growth and an increasing pipeline of work.
The role involves liaising with Contracts Managers, reviewing sub-contract documentation, and assisting with final accounts and contract notices.
Candidates should have a background in subcontracting, a qualification in Quantity Surveying, and at least 3 years of relevant experience.
A good understanding of JCT D&B contracts and construction law is required, while exposure to NEC contracts is beneficial.
The salary package includes a car or car allowance, bonus, holidays, and pension benefits.

Due to continued growth, strong client base & increasing pipeline of work, we are looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor within a successful specialist sub-contract company.

Working with a good team in the Commercial department, the role will involve liaising with Contracts Managers regarding any potential disputes or disruption on projects. Reviewing sub-contract documentation for any differences between tender & quoting, highlighting clauses that will need investigation or amendment.

Assisting with preparing final accounts, substantiation & any contract notices required.

Liaising with Main contractors regarding instructions & variations for works.

Assisting estimating team with pricing variations & guidance when complying with tender enquiries.

For this role the client is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor, ideally from a subcontractor background.

You will be well organised, process driven, good at reviewing contracts and being able to present and at times negotiate with tier 1 and 2 contractors. Good understanding of JCT D&B contracts & knowledge of construction law & principles, some exposure to NEC contracts would be beneficial.

You will likely have a qualification in Quantity Surveying; you must have a driving licence as some visits to projects across the England will be necessary at times.
