Maths Teacher

Monarch Education is currently recruiting for a confident and committed Maths Teacher to join a high-achieving secondary school in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a forward-thinking and supportive educational environment. The role is expected to run for two term's, starting in January 2026, with potential for extension.

  • Start Date: January 2026
  • Contract Type: Full-time, temporary (two term's)
  • Salary: MPS/UPS - dependent on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and inclusive Maths lessons across Key Stages
  • Teach Maths up to GCSE level, ensuring curriculum coverage and progression
  • Plan and implement a broad and balanced curriculum aligned with national standards
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning through strong classroom management skills
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Contribute to the development of a dynamic and ambitious Maths department
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment

Ideal Candidate

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent UK teaching qualification
  • Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics
  • Experience teaching Maths up to GCSE level
  • Demonstrates excellent classroom management and behaviour strategies
  • Passionate about inspiring students and fostering a love for numeracy and problem-solving
  • Skilled at engaging learners of all abilities
  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
