OverviewMy client is seeking a talented and detail-oriented CAD Designer to join their growing team. This is a hands-on design role working with an existing team of two CAD Designers, you will contribute to the full lifecycle of mechanical building services design. You'll be producing high-quality drawings, providing engineering calculations to ensure the successful delivery of company projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed schematics, layouts, elevations and detailed mechanical drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Create and modify schematics for various projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with project teams to understand design requirements and provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct design reviews and incorporate feedback to enhance project outcomes.
  • Perform mechanical engineering calculations, including heat loss, pipework, and duct sizing, using tools such as Hevacomp
  • Prepare presentation materials to effectively communicate designs at client and project team meetings

Skills

  • Proficiency using AutoCAD, experience with Revit would be advantageous
  • 2 years experience in mechanical building services or HVAC Design
  • Excellent attention to detail with a keen eye for accuracy in technical drawings.
  • Experience using Hevacomp, and modelling tools SAP/SBEM
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being able to manage individual tasks effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the capability to troubleshoot design issues as they arise.
  • Good communication skills to articulate design ideas clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
