Are you passionate about making a difference for young people with special educational needs? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a specialist base supporting students with Autism and Speech, Language & Communication Needs.

What You'll Do:

  • Support students in mainstream lessons and small-group interventions

  • Help overcome barriers to learning and promote independence

  • Facilitate social inclusion during unstructured parts of the school day

  • Collaborate with specialist teachers, therapists, and school staff

  • Create a calm, welcoming environment that supports wellbeing and learning

What You’ll Bring:

  • GCSEs in Maths & English (A-C grades)

  • Understanding of the impact of Autism and communication needs on learning

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Calm, flexible and positive attitude

  • Commitment to inclusion and safeguarding

Desirable:

  • Relevant experience supporting children with SEN

  • Additional training related to special educational needs
