Butler Rose is excited to present a fantastic opportunity for a Trust Tax Manager to join a growing Top 40 accountancy firm. Based in Thame, this full-time permanent role offers hybrid working options and the flexibility to tailor your hours to suit your lifestyle.

As a Trust Tax Manager, you will play a key role in managing a diverse portfolio of Trust and Estate clients. You'll be responsible for the preparation of tax returns, providing advisory support, and liaising with clients directly. With a strong emphasis on technical excellence and client relationships, this role offers both professional growth and exposure to a wide range of high-value clients.

What we're looking for:

  • CTA/STEP/ACA/ACCA qualified with 3+ years UK post-qualified experience
  • Strong understanding of trust taxation, IHT returns, and trust accounts
  • Experience working with a range of UK trusts, including preparation of tax returns
  • Knowledge of CCH tax and accounting software is beneficial
  • Excellent client relationship, project management, and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive attitude and ability to work under pressure

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the preparation of annual tax returns and trust accounts for a varied portfolio
  • Review IHT returns and ensure compliance with trust-related tax matters
  • Provide advisory support to Partners and assist with complex technical queries
  • Attend Trustee meetings and liaise directly with clients on trust matters
  • Support the senior team with ad-hoc tasks and ensure a high-quality client experience
