Reed Engineering are working with a respected mechanical contractor known for delivering high-quality installations across various sectors including housing developments, care homes, and commercial buildings. We are expanding our management team and seeking an experienced HVAC Project Manager to lead join their project delivery team.

Role Overview:

As a HVAC Project Manager, you will oversee the mechanical aspects of new build projects from pre-construction to completion. This includes managing site activities, coordinating with consultants and supply chain partners, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full lifecycle of mechanical works on multiple new build sites.
  • Oversee planning, installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, quality, and design specifications.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and site teams.
  • Lead coordination efforts with subcontractors and internal delivery teams.
  • Manage budgets, procurement schedules, and resource planning.
  • Produce essential project documentation including RAMS, progress reports, and O&M manuals.
  • Conduct and chair regular site meetings and technical reviews.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in managing mechanical services on new build construction projects.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of systems including heating, hot & cold water, ventilation, and renewable technologies.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, technical drawings, and installation methods.
  • Excellent leadership and organisational skills.
  • Familiarity with building regulations, CDM, and industry standards (CIBSE, BESA, etc.).
  • Commercial awareness with experience working under JCT and D&B contracts.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • NVQ level 2 in plumbing and heating, NVQ 3 preferred.
  • SMSTS / SSSTS. CSCS card (Manager or Supervisor level).
