Recognised for its excellence in client service and legal expertise, the firm provides a collaborative environment with strong community ties.Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced Head of Residential Conveyancing to lead and manage a successful property team based in Thame. You will deliver expert guidance on residential conveyancing, including buying, selling, and remortgaging properties, while managing and developing the team and cultivating local client relationships.Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading and developing the conveyancing team, including resource planning and talent development.
  • Managing conveyancing cases from initial instruction to completion, including freehold and leasehold transactions.
  • Preparing and reviewing contracts and associated documentation.
  • Liaising closely with clients, estate agents, solicitors, brokers, and internal departments.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate completion of post-transaction procedures.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely client billing.
  • Regular use of case management systems.
  • Building and strengthening relationships with local agents and clients.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Solicitor or Licensed Conveyancer with extensive residential property experience.
  • Proven experience managing a residential conveyancing team.
  • Strong expertise in handling transfers of equity, re-mortgages, new builds, shared ownership leases, and declarations of trust.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Commercial awareness and ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Experience with corporate clients, buy-to-let investors, and leasehold properties.
