Finance Assistant - Accounts

Salary 24K+ depending on experience

Hours 9am - 5.30pm

We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join our growing Accounts team in Thame. The role will be supporting the whole team to ensure the smooth and effective running of the department.

The Finance Team consists of Cashiers & Finance Assistants who work with and report to the Head Cashier & Finance Team Manager. The team work together to support each other in a fast paced, busy environment providing the firm with a stable accounting function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contacting bank with queries and cheque cancellations
  • Entry level office administration
  • Issuing cheques
  • Processing banking transactions
  • Processing of bills
  • This role will build on the above to incorporate further duties as experience and learning increases

What We’re Looking For

  • At least 2 years office/administrative experience is essential
  • Accounts experience is desirable
  • At least 5 GCSE’s with Grade C (or 4) and above and minimum of B (or 6) in Maths
  • A high level of accuracy & attention to detail
  • Methodical approach to work
  • Excellent communication face to face and telephone
  • Knowledge of Word and Excel is a plus
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to meet deadlines or will learn this during your development in the role
  • Committed team-worker
